T: We want to do a GI series which is a type of X-ray that'll show your stomach and upper intestine.
これから胃と小腸のレントゲン検査を行います。
Pt: I'm ready.
用意ができました。
T: Now, I need you to drink this barium.
では、このバリウムをお飲みください。
Pt: OK.
はい。
T: I'll use the fluoroscope to watch how the barium goes down after you swallow it. I'll also take some X-ray from time to time.
バリウムを飲んだ後、それが体の中を通る様子を透視して確認します。その途中で何枚かレントゲン写真も撮ります。
会話例3 エコー（超音波検査）
T: We need to do an ultrasound. Please lie down here.
超音波検査をします。こちらに横になってください。
Pt: OK.
はい。
T: Could you please bend your knees?
膝を曲げていただけますか。
Pt: Like this?
こうですか？
T: Yes. Now, I'm going to apply a gel to your stomach. It's going to feel a little cool.
そうです。ではこのジェルをおなかに塗ります。少し冷たく感じます。
T: Take a deep breath in and expand your stomach. Hold it.
大きく息を吸っておなかを膨らませてください。息を止めてください。
You can relax now.....OK, would you turn onto your side?
